Colchester Blog is ideal for local businesses, charities, organisations and individuals to write articles that will be of interest to people living in the Colchester / North Essex area. After all, Colchester Blog was created as a Community website – a local blog that has many (local) authors.

Posting your own content is very simple; just register and your account will be upgraded enabling you to add your own blog posts. If you need any help just ask and we will be there for you.

There are guidelines which should be followed. The Guidelines are simple –

this is a family oriented website – so the content must be appropriate

and the author is responsible for the content of their posts (as the site owners do not want to be liable for something that someone else has written)

Our moderators have the right to remove any content if they feel it is not in the best interest of the site

business articles should be at least 500 words, and include logo / pictures if possible

For Sale / Wanted posts should be as descriptive as possible and provide pictures (if possible), email address and telephone number

It is unlikely that poorly written, or short posts will be approved, especially if they are just blatant adverts or or selling MLM or get rich quick schemes or other similar internet only based business promotions

Unless already agreed, the author must live in Colchester or the immediate surrounding area (within 10 miles)

To stop the very small minority of web users (globally) from adding content that is not appropriate, our moderators review and approve all content. Our moderators do not have to give a reason for not approving content, although I’m sure that in the majority of cases they will try and provide a reason.

So, get cracking, and add your own content.
